Blue and Brown Inspiration Board

I’ve always loved the combination of blue and brown. It’s so serene and calming- it reminds me of a spa for some reason. However, my inspiration for making this board came from the invitation suite below, by Brown Sugar Design. The colors are slightly muted and not too rich, giving it sophistication and at the same time a casual feel.

I’m a firm believer in color schemes being able to work in just about any setting. It all depends on how you use the colors and the tone of the colors used. I think with brown and blue, a pale combination would be best for a Spring wedding. However, using deeper hues of brown and blue would be an excellent combination for a Fall or Winter wedding!

What an elegant combination of colors! I’m partial to the pale blue with a cocoa brown, but the rich blue and brown is great as well!

Inspiration Board: Navy and Lilac

Navy is such a classic color to use in a color palette. It can be paired with just about any other color and be incredibly elegant.

While making this inspiration board, I was feeling inspired by the coming fall season and the jewel tones that are popular for the cooler months. The combination of navy and lilac is accented beautifully by white, and the three together would make for an extremely chic and elegant event!

I love the way navy can create an elegant event when combined with just about any color! One of my favorite combinations is navy and yellow, so there will most certainly be an inspiration board for that coming soon!

Inspiration Board: Navy and Silver Winter Wedding

This Inspiration Board was designed for an upcoming December wedding.

The bride chose the colors of navy and silver, with a simple winter theme. The groom is a newly commissioned officer in the Army, and he will be wearing his dress blues (which I absolutely love!). Centerpieces of candles and white poinsettias, along with navy and silver accents, will set the mood perfectly for this classy winter wedding.
