Detail To Love: Monograms As Decor

Let’s close out this week with a Detail To Love, shall we? Did you see the awesomely modern purple and green wedding last week? Well perhaps you recall that they had an equally awesome monogram decal on the doors of their venue! How cool is that?! Using the the same monogram that you used throughout all of your paper products as a piece of decor? Brilliant!

Well it also just so happens that their monogram and paper products were designed by my friend and ELV paper pro Matthew of a fine press! He posted a few images of their invites, and so I wanted to share one of the photos with you to show you how the invite sets the tone for the wedding!

Pretty awesome invite, right? And see how great it is to have an invite that gives you a glimpse into how the wedding is going to look? I HIGHLY recommend making sure you do that! Okay, enough of my ranting and raving… what do you think about using a monogram as decor? Do any of you have a monogram for your wedding? Are you using it anywhere in the decor for your wedding day?

LOVE the purple and green combo. Something I've considered for my own wedding!
Detail To Love: Patterns

Happy Friday loves! So you know what I’m LOVING right now? Patterns. I think we’re going to be seeing a lot more usage of patterns in weddings this year, and I am most definitely excited for it!

So how about you all? Are any of you using a pattern for your wedding? If so, what kind of pattern? There are SO many gorgeous ones out there!

Ooh! I hope so! I think people have been afraid of patterns in the past, but done right, as in the photos above, they can look gorgeous.

Well with 2012 almost here, how could I NOT do a post with some of my favorite details from this past year?! In my defense, I do normally do “Detail To Love” posts on Fridays… plus, this IS Every Last DETAIL after all! I looked through posts from the past year and found some of my favorite details from weddings that were featured throughout the year… and yes, it was quite a process! ;) Enjoy, and don’t forget to click through to see the rest of the weddings too!

Detail To Love: Customized Tumbler Favors

Hey there friends! Well, we’re closing out another week, and I’m still in denial that it’s Christmas!! Aw, and I just remembered that 4 years ago today, my husband proposed! :) Those first days of an engagement are awesome, and it was so wonderful to be able to spend it with our family and friends! Okay, so now let’s move on to our Detail of the Week… this one is from this Wednesday’s ginormous wedding feature… tumblers as favors! I know we’ve seen the mason jar idea a few times, but I LOVE that the bride and groom provided customized (and attractively so) glasses for guests to drink out of at the wedding and then take home!

You know… this would have been a perfect favor for my wedding, because my husband is always taking logo glasses as “souvenirs” from restaurants and bars! (Don’t tell!) But what a fun way for your guests to remember you by! You can work with your stationer to come up with a nice little design for them to match all of your stationery- with all of the amazing things that companies do nowadays, it shouldn’t be an issue to find a place to have them made. I would say that you can even take it another step and use the glasses as escort “items” too! :) Love love love this! Okay, so now raise your hand if you’re going to do this for your wedding! ;)

Alright, so now it’s time for me to get on the road! I’ll be spending this weekend with family and friends, and definitely WILL NOT be all cozied up to a fire, since it’s in the 80′s here in Florida! (Um, apparently Florida didn’t get the memo that it’s supposed to be COLD for Christmas) I hope all of you have a wonderfully cozy holiday! And to any couples who get engaged for Christmas… CONGRATULATIONS! :)
