Inspiration Board: Eggplant Purple

For this week’s inspiration board, I was feeling very drawn to the color combination of eggplant purple with accents of green.
The intensity of the green could vary depending on the style of the wedding. A modern, semi-formal wedding would be great using a bright lime green, or we could see a pale sage green for a classy formal wedding. Plum and green is a great color palette for the fall or winter, however, just making the purple a tad bit lighter could work exquisitely for a spring event!

Has anyone used or considered using a dark color like eggplant in their wedding? What kind of effect do you think it gives a wedding? Leave a comment and let me know!

B-E-A-utiful!! What a gorgeous inspiration board! What I love most is that the deep purple could seemingly be used any time of the year!
Inspiration Board: Peach & Teal

A very dear friend of mine (best) has been obsessing over Peach and Teal colors for the past few weeks. Every so often I get an email of a photo or link with the words “Remind me I want this for my wedding that isn’t happening for another 10 years.”

Well, I know this time span isn’t true, and I absolutely adore her, so I made a Inspiration Board to tickle her fancy. She has always talked of a beach wedding, and these colors are perfect for the beach.

Along the way, I realized how fresh and crisp the two colors are together. The combination exudes class, intimacy, and a very easygoing vibe. Peach and teal (or orange and aqua/turquoise for bolder color choices) would work wonderfully as a color palette for any season. Adding in neutrals, such as white or tan, could easily set the tone from playful to more elegant.

And I did eat a peach while searching for all of this inspiration. How could you not?

Oh, it's so amazing! This is exactly what I was looking for... although you did edit my typical comment. My wedding isn't happening for at least 1,000 more years!

AMAZING!! If I wasn't so obsessed with the Fall, I would totally switch my wedding colors!!
Inspiration Board: Rustic Autumn

Brides who are searching for wedding inspiration right now will be having their weddings coming up this Fall and the Winter. Therefore, I’m going to be posting more color palettes and inspiration boards for the upcoming seasons to help these brides create the vision of their weddings! {And I’ll also be dreaming about what these seasons are like, since they don’t exist in Florida} But don’t worry, you’ll still be seeing bright spring and summer palettes as well!

I’m helping a friend with her October wedding, and I made this for her to help her put her ideas together. From what she’s told me, she wants it to be “Casual Elegant”. The ceremony will be outside at a country club, and the reception will be held indoors. It should be beautiful in Florida at that time of year! The pumpkins in the center were her main inspiration, so I centered everything else around those. She wants to have some candles in Mason Jars, and I personally love Mason Jars. So many things can be done with them!

Hopefully this board will help her put her ideas together and give her new inspiration too!

If you have a color palette or theme, or are developing a vision of your wedding, but you just can’t quite put it all together, let me know, and I’ll be more than happy to put together an inspiration board for you!

Color Palette I'm Loving: Yellow and Gray

Every year, I have a color that I’m drawn too- it’s been pink, blue, turquoise, and now it’s yellow. Thankfully, they’re all bright colors, because my wardrobe does consist of mostly black, as I’m sure most do. I’ve just fallen in love with this new Yellow and Gray color scheme that’s being seen all over. It’s chic, elegant and modern. It could be used for weddings in all different settings- a formal church, a backyard, the beach, or a chic art venue. The possibilities are endless! And as they say, “Gray is the new brown”, so I’m sure it will be paired with just about every color imaginable!
