Aqua & Blue Ombre Inspiration Shoot

How about an nice dose of ombre inspiration this afternoon? If you didn’t already know (which if you’re on Pinterest, I’m sure you did), ombre is a big design trend this year. In case you’re not familiar with ombre, it’s using a color, and displaying it in a way that goes from a light to dark spectrum of that color. I think it’s pretty cool, so when Valerie of Sapphire Events NOLA sent this inspiration shoot over, I just knew I wanted to share it!

From Valerie: “I wanted to illustrate the various ways a bride can incorporate this trend into her day.  Everything from linens, florals, and attire, to the favors, guestbook, and signature cocktail, the possibilities are endless.”

What awesome inspiration for how to incorporate ombre into all elements of the wedding! I think my favorite detail is all of the votives- it’s a small element, but still has a big effect. A big thank you to Sapphire Events NOLA and all of the other fabulous vendors who put this inspiration shoot together!

So lovely ELDers, what do you all think of the ombre look? Are any of you planning on incorporating it for your own weddings?

Modern Black & Taupe Inspiration Shoot

Ah, I am SO late in posting this today- so sorry! As you may know, I’ve been traveling, which means interruptions, delays, and distractions! I’m home for a few days now, and I just HAD to share my most most recent inspiration shoot with you all! I actually designed this inspiration shoot for Eco-Beautiful Weddings‘ Etsy Love Challenge in the Winter issue, which was published last week! The Etsy Love Challenge involves using items from local and eco-friendly Etsy vendors for a photo shoot, and of course I wanted to make it as inspirational as I possibly could! I wanted to do a modern take on eco-friendly, and I used this inspiration board as my main source of inspiration. Here are some of the amazing photos from ELV photographer Jason Mize, but be sure to go check out the feature (On page 46!) to learn all about the items and the shoot’s design!

I loved the way everything turned out! Seriously, candles are such a great alternative to floral centerpieces… and candlelight is just SO gorgeous! A HUGE thank you to all of the awesome vendors who helped out and participated! And don’t forget to go check out the feature in the latest issue of Eco-Beautiful Weddings!

A Twofold Vintage Pink Inspiration Shoot

Happy Tuesday loves! Yep- twofold… I actually looked it up to make it meant what I wanted it to and it does indeed… “having two elements or parts”. This vintage pink inspiration shoot from Roohi Photography and Fishhawk Weddings has 2 different takes on vintage- which I LOVE! First up, we have a quaint vintage look, created with soft pink garden roses (my FAVORITE!) and dahlias mixed in with some lovely Queen Anne’s Lace… oh and an adorable, happy model too! I love smiles, in case you haven’t noticed! :)

The second part of this shoot is a vintage glam look, using pink garden roses and fuchsia orchids, with some crystal bling thrown in for a nice glam effect!

WOW I absolutely LOVE garden roses. Seriously- look at those centers! How could you NOT love them?! One thing’s for sure- this “twofold” vintage shoot has definitely given us lots of gorgeous floral inspiration! :) A big thank you to Roohi Photography and Fishhawk Weddings for inspiring us with this beautiful shoot!

I really love when inspiration shoots give two different looks along the same theme or idea. It's so awesome to see them side by side. And by the way, I'm a sucker for garden roses too!
