Modern Black & Taupe Inspiration Shoot

Ah, I am SO late in posting this today- so sorry! As you may know, I’ve been traveling, which means interruptions, delays, and distractions! I’m home for a few days now, and I just HAD to share my most most recent inspiration shoot with you all! I actually designed this inspiration shoot for Eco-Beautiful Weddings‘ Etsy Love Challenge in the Winter issue, which was published last week! The Etsy Love Challenge involves using items from local and eco-friendly Etsy vendors for a photo shoot, and of course I wanted to make it as inspirational as I possibly could! I wanted to do a modern take on eco-friendly, and I used this inspiration board as my main source of inspiration. Here are some of the amazing photos from ELV photographer Jason Mize, but be sure to go check out the feature (On page 46!) to learn all about the items and the shoot’s design!

I loved the way everything turned out! Seriously, candles are such a great alternative to floral centerpieces… and candlelight is just SO gorgeous! A HUGE thank you to all of the awesome vendors who helped out and participated! And don’t forget to go check out the feature in the latest issue of Eco-Beautiful Weddings!

    There's so much gorgeousness going on here! LOVE the contrast of the black from the candlesticks to the table numbers (wooden letters are amazing!). LOVE the invitation, the flowers...love it all!

    Beautiful - loving the invitation suite and the typography. Also loving the dress, jewelry and the gorgeous bouquet. The brick wall backdrop is my fave - I love any venue with brick.

Pink & Black Modern Eclectic California Wedding

If you visited ELD last night, you may have noticed that there wasn’t anything there! I suppose ELD decided that she wanted to take a little vacation (yes, I refer to my website as a “she”). But we’re back up and running today, and I have a fabulous wedding from Mark Brooke Photographers for you all! This one is a doozie, but I didn’t want to divide it up because I thought maybe y’all would want to catch up with everything you missed last night. ;) The paper products are awesome and there is a lot of PINK- but not in a cheesy way! What more needs to be said? :)

I love the adorable “destination/travel” theme that they had- combined with the modern eclectic design and pink and black… awesomeness! A big thank you to Mark Brooke Photographers for sharing this wedding with us!

Black, White & Red Nighttime Wedding {Part 2}

We’re on to Part 2 of this black, white and red nighttime wedding from the fabulous Justine Ungaro! A VERY cool thing about having a later wedding is the darkness. Because you can do things like this…

I might just be a sap, but every time Auld Lang Syne plays at midnight on New Year’s Eve, I get all teary eyed. Please tell me I’m not the only one who flashed back to that with these last photos. :) I seriously LOVE New Year’s Eve weddings! Everyone always has a great time! Are any of you planning a New Year’s Eve wedding?

A big huge thank you to Justine Ungaro for sharing this wedding with us!

    I am having a new years eve DAY wedding...if you have any ideas of how I can still make it a great party, without having it at midnight?!

    Hmmm, a little tough Emily- mostly because people are of course going to want to PARTY. ;) But I think it would be a great idea to keep guests interacting and doing things. I'm not sure about your venue and the logistics, but you could have games, DIY bars (like make your cupcakes, food things, etc), maybe an awesome band...there are lots of way to keep your guests involved and having fun. :)
Black, White & Red Nighttime Wedding {Part 1}

This black, white and red wedding from Justine Ungaro was actually a New Year’s Eve wedding, hence the whole happening at night thing. (And yes, I did actually look up “nighttime” to see if it was a real word, because it seems made up to me. It is actually defined as “occurring, done, presented, etc., during the night, especially the hours before midnight.” Woo hoo, word successfully NOT made up! Just a little tidbit of useless information for you.) Black and white is one of my top color choices for an evening wedding- well, any wedding actually. :) I have tons of amazingness from this wedding to share with you, so let’s start with getting ready, the first look, and the ceremony, shall we?

Love the lanterns all lit up lining the aisle. And um, HELLO awesome Vera Wang dress- I think I’m in love! Part 2 of this black and white night time wedding from Justine Ungaro is coming right up!
