I know I just had an inspiration board with red as a color, but it seems like lots of brides are liking red for a wedding color this year! I put together this inspiration board for a bride who described her wedding as being intimate with a romantic and dark feel, and modern with vintage elements. I’ve been calling it Twilight-esque, but the bride hasn’t seen the movie, so she wouldn’t be able to compare it to that. I think calling this style Eclectic Romance fits well.
Row 1: Centerpiece, Feasting Table/Tablescape, Small centerpiece, Cigars
Row 2: Ceremony, Invitations, Shoes, Cake
Row 3: Escort Cards, Boutonnière, Calla Lily Centerpiece
Pulling in vintage elements with some modern style gives this style a hint of eclectic, and of course deep red and candlelight is so absolutely romantic. What else do you think this style could be called?
Very pretty! You know I see “Medieval Romanticism” as a name or “Mysterious Romanticism” or something that evokes the slightly haunting yet wrapped in romance-like feel I get from this beautiful inspiration board. I know you were leaning away from it, but there’s nothing wrong with calling it “Twilight Chic.” It explains it, and I personally think adding “-Chic” to the end of anything shows that it’s like that, but way BETTER!
Always nice to see red, the big bold color of love and passion!
Passionate Whimsy? What a beautiful board!
Absolutely beautiful! Great job!
I love the cake.
