{Backyard Glam} Style Dictionary Inspiration Shoot

I love love love when I receive a Style Dictionary shoot! It’s been a while since I’ve featured one, I know! (If you’re new to ELD and haven’t come across the Style Dictionary yet, check it out here!) This backyard glam shoot from Catie Ronquillo Photography is an absolutely awesome combination! Let’s see what these Dallas wedding pros put together to inspire us…

From Ebony Peoples Events & Design:

When Catie of Catie Ronquillo Photography contacted me a few months ago to design a “Backyard Glam” table scape, I was super excited!  I am a fan of everything that glitters and shines but yet thrive with the idea of planning an event in a natural outdoor setting.  The park that we chose to use had lots of beauty on its own, from the tall trees to the glistening stream in the background.  At the same time, this also provided an open “canvas” for us to design upon.  I chose the color purple because it embodies *glam* on its own.  The silver pebble chargers, chiavari chairs, stainless steel flatware, and chandelier added extra shine to the table design.

The ‘love notes’ display was created with a picture frame and chicken wire.  This was a fun way for guests to leave well wishes for the bride and groom.  Bows and Arrows created the amazing floral designs, bouquet, and boutonnieres using beautiful shades of purple, lavender, cream, and pops of greenery. Doodle Dog designed the super cute stationery including the invites, RSVP cards, place cards, maps, and LOVE letters using a cream background with pops of purple, lace, and metallic gray.  Sugar Bee Sweets created the gorgeous ruffled cake.  The cake balls served as a reminder that each guest “Have a ball!” Catie was on hand to capture our designs and the beautiful couple on camera.

I am loving all of the details in this shoot! The paper products, the “love notes” display, the bouquet- everything! Pure awesomeness. How about you all? Which part of this shoot is your favorite? :)

A huge thank you to everyone who participated in this gorgeous Style Dictionary shoot!

Rustic Backyard Florida Wedding

This rustic Florida wedding from Kristen Weaver is beautiful! The bride and groom are adorable, and Kristen’s work is just so amazing. I for one am kind of in love with the “wildflower” look of the bouquets, but their ceremony setup is pretty awesome too…

There’s just something about having dinner all around a big giant tree that makes it kind of magical. And one plus to getting married in Florida- there are awesome orange groves just about everywhere to take photos in!  I love having the gorgeous work of Kristen Weaver grace the pages of ELD!

Wow! This is beautiful! I know this is at a private residence but which city is this in? I am thinking about having a backyard wedding and would absolutely LOVE a place like this!

An Arkansas Field Wedding

This Arkansas wedding comes to us from the awesomely talented Nine Photography. The wedding took place throughout the expansive amount of the bride’s grandparents’ land. Yes, big giant fields and huge solitary trees are a huge plus if you’re having an at-home wedding….

I love the bottles and mason jars on the long tables. It’s so simple, yet so gorgeous. And how artistically AWESOME are some of these shots from Nine Photography?! Amazing I tell you!

Having a wedding on private property can help save on venue costs; can bring in your own food; and decorate the way your want (with the owner's permission).

I love outdoor weddings and loved the men in blue jeans. IT is so much fun to peruse the wedding blogs. Thanks for sharing the wedding photos. ANd how much fun it would have been to be at the outdoor reception. Looked so cozy!
