Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?

I have always been a big history fan. I recognize that history is filled with classics of every sort. Classic pieces of art, music, poetry, and books surround us daily and influence our lives. I want to insure that for your wedding day you get CLASSIC images that you will cherish and absolutely adore forever. Every bride should have wedding day photographs that stand the test of time, live up to expectations thirty years from now, and will not go out of style a few years down the road. We photograph to tell a beautiful love story between two people: straightforward, clean, and making sure you are falling more in love with each other during the time spent with us.

 

What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?

Honestly, my favorite part is the dress! I'm a huge fan of photographing the dress. I know it's important to our clients, and it's one of my favorite times of the wedding day. Outside of that, I love any kind of hanging lantern, but maybe the best detail I have ever had the privilege of photographing was more of a stage, rather than a detail. It was a bridge crossing a pool of water during a backyard wedding, that the bride walked over to get to her awaiting groom. It was absolutely magical. I could have never even dreamed of shooting something like that.

 

What is your favorite store or brand?

If we could choose one place to shop for the rest of our lives, it would be J. Crew. They produce classic, well-fitting clothes in timeless styles with the right amount of comfort level. I think that's also how we would choose to describe our photography. Classic, timeless, and the right amount of friendship needed between us and our clients to make your wedding day the absolute best it can be! (If I didn't pick J. Crew, I would have to go with the local coffee shop! I can't get enough joe!)

 

What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride?

Amongst all the hustle and bustle of planning your wedding, remember to take a step back and soak it in. This only happens once, and it's one of the most wonderful times in your life! The months leading up to your wedding day should be filled with fun, laughter, times spent with your fiancé making new memories, and never, ever, ever skimp on your photographer!

 

What is your favorite thing about weddings?

Can I be candid and honest by saying that I just love the fact that I get to spend 10 hours on a weekend with people who love each other? It's rare in our world to see people express their love for one another in such a way as marriage, a bonding together forever. I love the vows too! Well written vows get us every time. You'll usually see us in tears around that moment because we've become friends with our clients, and we get to experience their love through written word; whether they're a good author or not, it's always heartfelt, and melts us to the core.

 

What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?

I'm passionate. I LOVE love! We are extremely laid back and easy-going. I think it's attributed to the fact that we've been in every situation we could encounter, and know how to handle it. We work well together as a team, two photographers, and we are outgoing, relaxed, and fun! If we're bragging a bit, we help the bride and groom as much as physically possible on the day. There's nothing we wouldn't do to make your day as incredible and special as possible, even if it means doing something above and beyond taking photos. And I must say, we're a heck of a dance crew! Ha.

 

What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?

Along with your planner, we help you plan your day to perfection. Nobody sees more wedding days up close than a photographer, and we know them best. We help you plan your day to the minute, ensuring there's plenty of time for everything. We have two photographers at every wedding, so you'll never miss a moment. We're a guy/girl team, so we are always able to maintain a level of comfort. We show up early, and you'll never have to worry about what time we're leaving, because we won't leave until you leave and then some! Your wedding day doesn't end at 8:00PM, it ends when YOU say it ends!
