Interview:

Why do you see yourself as being Modern, Vintage, Classic, or Eclectic?

I wish there was a category called "everything but traditional". Remember what your parents' and grandparents' wedding album looked like? That's exactly the opposite of my style. There are so many terms used to characterize my photojournalism: Modern, edgy, vintage, romantic, whimsical, casual... you choose. Just don't say "old & stuffy", please?

What is your favorite wedding detail you've ever seen or created?

I am a sucker for all wedding related details. I especially loved the brightly colored peace sign cuff links one couple gave to each groomsman, father, and grandfather to represent the Bride's brother who had passed away.

What is your favorite store or brand?

Apple + Canon = KLP :)

What advice do you have for a newly engaged bride?

ENJOY yourself! Nothing ever goes exactly as planned, so just try to relax as much as possible and enjoy all the planning leading up to the best day of your life. In the end, all that matters is becoming a Mrs.

What is your favorite thing about weddings?

Nothing beats all your friends and family coming together for YOU. Just recently tying the knot myself, I turned to my husband as we looked onto the crowd to remind him that all those people were there for US, and we felt so loved and blessed. There's nothing better.

What qualities do you possess that enable you to work well with brides and grooms?

I have just been there in your shoes. I understand all that goes into planning a wedding and am here to help you every step of the way! You will find that I am not just your photographer, but a friend and a shoulder, an expert at dress bustling and veil fixing, and your right hand lady throughout the process.

What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?

I listen, first and foremost. A lot of brides have great ideas and are unsure of how to implement them and that's why I'm there. Or they may have no clue and need some guidance, and that's also why I'm there! In the end, I am there to make sure you are relaxed and having fun. Afterall I want a happy couple in my photos, and will do everything to ensure just that!
